Privacy Policy

BurnLoop (“we,” “our,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices when you use the BurnLoop iOS app (“App”). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
Information We Collect
• Account Information: Email and display name when you sign in (e.g., via email/password or Sign in with Apple/Google) to create and manage your account.
• Purchase Information: Subscription status, product identifiers, and purchase receipts needed to enable Pro features and validate purchases (processed by Apple and RevenueCat).
• Content You Provide: Photos you choose to analyze, item names or notes you add, and related prompts. Images and prompts may be sent to an AI provider (e.g., Google Gemini) to estimate nutrition.
• App Data You Generate: Workout timers, calories burned/consumed, preferences, and other in-app progress stored on your device (e.g., via Core Data). The App does not use HealthKit.
• Diagnostics: Limited crash and performance data to improve stability (e.g., device model, OS/App versions). We do not use IDFA or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
How We Use Information
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
• Enable subscriptions, recognize entitlements, and restore purchases.
• Perform nutrition estimation on content you submit via third-party AI services.
• Communicate with you about updates, issues, and support requests.
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents; comply with law.
Sharing
• Service Providers: We share data with vendors who help run the App, including authentication (e.g., Firebase Authentication), subscriptions/receipts (RevenueCat), crash reporting (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics), and AI processing (e.g., Google Gemini). These providers process data on our behalf under agreements consistent with this Policy.
• Legal: We may disclose information to comply with applicable law or lawful requests, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of our services.
• Aggregated/De-identified: We may use or share aggregated or de-identified data that does not identify you.
Data Storage & Retention
• Most app data (workouts, preferences) is stored locally on your device. Account and purchase metadata may be stored by our providers to power sign-in and subscriptions.
• Photos you submit for analysis may be transmitted to AI providers for processing.
• We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above or as required by law.
Your Choices
• Access & Deletion: You can request account deletion in the App (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing contact@burnloopai.com. Deleting your account removes personal information we control, subject to legal requirements and necessary records.
• Manage Subscriptions: On your device, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions to manage or cancel.
• Photos & Entries: Only submit photos you’re comfortable sharing with an AI analysis service. You can remove items you logged in-app.
• Diagnostics: You can limit Apple device analytics and crash reporting in iOS settings.
International Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you reside. We implement safeguards designed to protect your information consistent with applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Children
The App is intended for general audiences and not specifically directed to children. If you believe we have collected personal information from a child in a way that violates law, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes to the App or law. We will update the “Last updated” date above and, when appropriate, provide additional notice.
